Tanzania
The wild, romantic Africa of your dreams

Tanzania, a land of wide open spaces, magnificent wildlife and idyllic palm fringed islands, invites you to discover the wild, romantic Africa of your dreams. A million wildebeest, each driven by the same ancient rhythm, pound the plains of the Serengeti performing their annual pilgrimage. Triggered by the first rains, wildebeest, zebra and gazelle undertake the long trek to find pastures new and to calve. Although there can be no guaranteed sightings, of course, this epic migration is best seen in the south of the Serengeti between December and April and, in the north and western corridor, from June to October. Equally synonymous with Tanzania is the Ngorongoro Crater, a perfectly formed sunken volcno, dotted with watering holes, that shelters 30,000 animals. A game drive in this natural amphitheatre allows a rare intimacy with the wildlife that roam this paradise.

When to go: Northern Tanzania has a temperate climate with temperatures from 22 to 27 degrees year round.
October to mid March is the hottest period and June to September the coolest.
November brings light rainfall while the rainy season itself is from mid March to the end of May.
